HR Staff
HR Staff
Local: Help welcome new local volunteers by facilitating initial conversations, gathering contact details, and ensuring a warm, seamless onboarding experience into the Ignite community. In addition to onboarding, this role plays a vital operational and relational part in monitoring our city-specific Discord channels, maintaining healthy communication standards, and taking gentle, firm corrective action when needed. Because we serve a diverse demographic of young adults, many individuals come to us carrying deep personal pain—and as the saying goes, "hurt people can hurt people." This requires our local HR team to actively support our group coordinators as they navigate tough interpersonal dynamics. We take a distinct approach to care: our goal is to shepherd and restore hurting individuals whenever possible, while remaining unwavering in our duty to protect the peace, safety, and health of the entire flock. Regional: Support city-level HR staff across surrounding chapters by providing objective counsel on complex interpersonal situations or disciplinary needs. You’ll help oversee regional Discord moderation standards, ensure background checks and volunteer screening steps are completed consistently, and step in when regional escalation is required. National: Standardize Ignite's national volunteer care, onboarding frameworks, and conflict-resolution guidelines across all chapters nationwide. You’ll develop training materials on biblical peacemaking, healthy boundaries, and flock protection protocols to keep our nationwide staff and volunteer base aligned and supported. Management: Mentor and coach incoming HR volunteers and city coordinators on healthy team dynamics, emotional maturity, and restorative leadership. You’ll equip HR staff with the tools and spiritual discernment needed to balance deep grace with clear, protective boundaries.

Intramural & Sports Coordinator
Intramural & Sports Coordinator
Local: Build a vibrant sports culture in your city through a clear, multi-stage growth trajectory designed for maximum community impact. This role begins at Level 1 by organizing casual, drop-in pickup games (like beach volleyball or park soccer) to gather young adults. As local interest and momentum grow, you’ll elevate to Level 2, hosting structured community-wide tournaments that raise ministry awareness and draw in unchurched athletes. Finally, at Level 3, you’ll secure indoor facility partnerships to run year-round indoor leagues during colder months. Reaching these higher stages creates an incredible platform for gospel outreach, fosters deep healthy relationships, and generates sustainable local fundraising through entry fees. Whether starting with simple pickup games or casting the long-term vision, you’ll mobilize a team of passionate sports volunteers to execute events at every stage. Regional: Connect sports coordinators across neighboring cities to establish regional tournament circuits, inter-chapter rivalries, and multi-city athletic events. You’ll assist local chapters in navigating venue agreements, tournament structures, and cross-city event promotion. National: Develop standard safety guidelines, tournament rulebooks, league registration frameworks, and fundraising models for sports ministries nationwide. You’ll track sports engagement metrics across all chapters and curate launch playbooks for expanding intramural leagues into new cities. Management: Mentor and coach local sports coordinators through each phase of the sports trajectory—from casual pickup games to full indoor leagues. You’ll equip team leaders with volunteer management tools, venue negotiation strategies, and gospel-centered sportsmanship principles.
