Intramural & Sports Coordinator
Local: Build a vibrant sports culture in your city through a clear, multi-stage growth trajectory designed for maximum community impact. This role begins at Level 1 by organizing casual, drop-in pickup games (like beach volleyball or park soccer) to gather young adults. As local interest and momentum grow, you’ll elevate to Level 2, hosting structured community-wide tournaments that raise ministry awareness and draw in unchurched athletes. Finally, at Level 3, you’ll secure indoor facility partnerships to run year-round indoor leagues during colder months. Reaching these higher stages creates an incredible platform for gospel outreach, fosters deep healthy relationships, and generates sustainable local fundraising through entry fees. Whether starting with simple pickup games or casting the long-term vision, you’ll mobilize a team of passionate sports volunteers to execute events at every stage.
Regional: Connect sports coordinators across neighboring cities to establish regional tournament circuits, inter-chapter rivalries, and multi-city athletic events. You’ll assist local chapters in navigating venue agreements, tournament structures, and cross-city event promotion.
National: Develop standard safety guidelines, tournament rulebooks, league registration frameworks, and fundraising models for sports ministries nationwide. You’ll track sports engagement metrics across all chapters and curate launch playbooks for expanding intramural leagues into new cities.
Management: Mentor and coach local sports coordinators through each phase of the sports trajectory—from casual pickup games to full indoor leagues. You’ll equip team leaders with volunteer management tools, venue negotiation strategies, and gospel-centered sportsmanship principles.
