Volunteer Coordinator
Local: Build a vibrant volunteer culture in your city through a clear, multi-stage growth trajectory designed for maximum community impact. This role begins at Level 1 by recruiting and organizing a core team of volunteers to help run casual Hobby-Based Home Groups built around shared interests and food. As local interest and momentum grow, you can elevate to Level 2, coordinating volunteer teams for larger Special Events and high-energy Outdoor Activities to draw in active young and youngish adults. Finally, at Level 3, you'll establish a robust, self-sustaining volunteer leadership pipeline, empowering individuals to use their God-given gifts to serve others in their daily lives. Reaching these higher stages creates an incredible platform to dismantle the isolation prevalent among adults today and fosters deep, multidimensional relationships centered on Christ. Whether organizing event setup or casting the long-term vision, you’ll mobilize a team of community builders to create welcoming, low-pressure environments where spiritual conversations can happen organically.
Regional: Connect volunteer leaders across neighboring cities to establish regional training, shared volunteer resources, and multi-city support networks. You’ll assist local chapters in navigating recruitment strategies, volunteer retention, and cross-city event staffing to ensure that leadership remains shared, relational, and rooted in service.
National: Develop standard safety guidelines, volunteer training playbooks, recruitment frameworks, and leadership development models for Ignite ministries nationwide. You’ll track volunteer engagement metrics across all chapters and curate launch playbooks for equipping new volunteers as Ignite expands into new cities, ensuring our culture and alignment flow everywhere.
Management: Mentor and coach local chapter leaders and volunteers through each phase of the volunteer trajectory, from casual home group helpers to full event coordinators. You’ll equip teams to understand their roles, practice biblical mindfulness, and ensure that our gatherings remain a welcoming, inclusive space for followers of Jesus, those navigating church hurt, and anyone exploring faith.
