Grant Researcher

Local: Serve as the detective for your city chapter by identifying untapped local funding sources that align with Ignite’s mission. You’ll actively search for city-level community grants, municipal youth initiative funds, local corporate giving programs, and family foundations in your area. This involves digging into eligibility criteria, tracking submission windows, and cataloging key requirements into our central database. By maintaining a clean pipeline of qualified opportunities and deadlines, you ensure our local writing team can focus on crafting winning proposals for resources that directly fund your city's gatherings and local outreach.
Regional: Map out state-wide, multi-city, and regional foundation opportunities that support young adult mental health, community outreach, and leadership development. You’ll build relationships with regional grant administrators, monitor recurring foundation cycles, and evaluate which surrounding chapters meet specific geographic funding parameters.
National: Identify high-capacity national foundations, major corporate charitable trusts, and large-scale funding networks capable of supporting nationwide expansion. You’ll analyze national trends in institutional giving, perform deep-dive research into top-tier funding requirements, and map out strategic multi-year grant calendars.
Management: Mentor and guide incoming research volunteers across all chapters in grant prospecting techniques and database management. You’ll audit research quality, establish standardized research templates, and ensure every chapter has a consistent stream of viable funding leads.
